"Everything is obvious to everyone": lawyer Zhorin responded to the Timm family's plans to sue Sedokova

A lawyer representing the family of deceased Latvian basketball player Janis Timma has filed a complaint to bring the athlete's ex-wife Anna Sedokova to criminal responsibility. The singer is being asked to be charged under the article "Incitement to Suicide". The complaints have been filed in Latvia and Russia.

Lawyer Sergei Zhorin explained the prospects of such a case.

- I think that we need to stop hounding Anna Sedokova, - says Sergey Zhorin. - It's obvious to everyone, there is no crime in her actions. No one will initiate a criminal case. A tragedy occurred, unfortunately, such things happen sometimes. We need to leave the person alone and stop hyping up the blood.

According to the lawyer, Latvian and Russian law enforcement agencies also understand the absence of corpus delicti.

- I am sure that no one is going to open a case. But they are obliged to conduct an investigation if statements are received. The family of the deceased can be understood, for them what happened is a great grief. But those who are encouraging the family, asking to open a case - it is difficult to understand.
